Do you use email templates as part of your proofing process?
For the first few years of my career, I had always written each email from scratch. Then, I noticed that I was writing the same thing over and over again and that it was taking me half an hour or longer to do so each time. I was constantly switching back and forth between creative tasks and customer service tasks causing me to take longer to do both parts of my job. Since then I have put in place a few different email templates and short keys that have been fine-tuned and implemented into my design process. My emails are still personal, I edit them to add or subtract information when needed and I add personal notes and greetings for clients I work with often. But now I can send my emails out within minutes and not have to switch out of my creative mindset to do it.
I recently finished a design project for OU's Crimson and Cream Copy Center & Student Post OFfice. They wanted some fun, creative shipping labels that students could purchase and use on their packages. They requested some birthday, university, and generic themed labels. Here are the final designs!
